Port Richmond SCREAMS for Ice Cream!

Somersetsplits is a hand-made ice cream shop that would like to open up in a location that was previously zoned as a variety store (Corner of Almond and Somerset.) There is a meeting being held on Wednesday, August 8, to discuss the rezoning of the property.
I am a lifelong resident of Port Richmond (38 years!) and I know how much people love this neighborhood and want to see positive things happen in our community. Having businesses open up in Port Richmond will help our local economy, attract home buyers, and provide residents with more to experience in the area. We have been blessed with businesses that have been here for years, Taconelli's, Kitty's and Byrne's to name a few. Over the past several years we have also been fortunate enough to have new things open, such as Mama Maria's, Bait & Switch, Gaul Street Malt House, and Riverward's Cafe. Please show your support for Somersetsplits so that they can open up and become a sweet new addition to our neighborhood.
