Stop unnecessary felling of trees on the Wallingford bypass

SODC are considering a planning application to cut down even more trees on the Wallingford Bypass. P17/S4049.  It refers to the trees from the Slade End roundabout to Fir Tree Cottage in the Wallingford side of the bypass.  They say it’s necessary to create a temporary road for construction traffic.   I am still really upset at the loss of the trees that have been felled already.  I have watched them grow over the past 20 years to creat a beautiful habitat for wildlife and barrier to noise pollution, particularly lovely in Autumn and Spring.  It is so  sad that 20 years growth could be destroyed in a day. It seems unclear whether the consultation period is still open but if you care do let SODC know your feelings.
