As of 31st March 2017, Woodpark Primary School (Lesmahagow) will lose their last standing Lollipop lady who is situated at Balgray/Abbeygreen Road. This is due to Council funding cuts.

This is an extremely busy 3 way road with a high volume of traffic, especially during the hours of school drop off in the morning and school pick ups in the afternoon making it unsafe for children and parents to cross.

The Lollipop lady situated at this spot works in all weather conditions to provide safe crossing measures for all of the children as well as their parents on their daily walk to and from school and also a very well thought of pillar of the community whom we do not want to lose.

This is a recipe for disaster which could be prevented yet a poor innocent person is going to suffer the consequences of these cuts.

Save our Lollipop lady and protect our community!
