We, the parents, of South Jefferson CSD, believe we should have the right to choose if our children are to wear masks, we should have the right to choose if our children are to be vaccinated. They should not be forced, mandated or bribed into anything that should be a free choice. Recommendations are just that recommendations.

As parents we raise our children all differently, we choose what foods we think are best, what clothes we feel suits the weather, what health care providers they use, and what type of religion we want them the follow. There are recommendations for all of these aspects yet we as parents choose what we feel is best for our children.

As our children grow they begin to determine what they believe is best for them, but we still provide guidance and give our recommendations. When they are grown they make their decisions based on what they’ve learned, what they believe to be true and what is best for their life or situation. But for now these children are ours to nurture and protect.

With that being said, we believe everyone should have the power to choose what they believe is in the best interest for their children. Please help us continue to be the responsible party for our own children. Free from discrimination, free from scrutiny, free from mandates.
