Brownsbarn Wood Residents Objection to Roadstone planning application SD12A/0012
Why this petition matters
The Residents of Brownsbarn Wood object to the new planning application submitted to South Dublin County Council by Roadstone Limited SD21A/0012 for the following reasons:
1) Prolonged and increased noise and vibration nuisance to the residents of Brownsbarn Wood.
- The residents have experienced increased noise and vibration over the past 12 months coming from blasts at the Roadstone Quarry. Residents have suffered damage to their homes and properties.
-the blasts have changed from one day a week on a Friday to twice a week on a Tuesday and Friday.
- a lowered floor as proposed will likely further damage the properties in Brownsbarn Wood.
2) There has been no direct consultation with the residents of Brownsbarn Wood by Roadstone despite Planning requiring this - no leaflet drop of homes within 500m drop of homes within 500m as required under condition no 9(c) of the Section 261 determination.
3) The environmental impact assessment report does not assess the impact of the new parameters outlined in the planning application i.e going to a 10mOD on the neighbourhood.
4) The neighbourhood of Brownsbarn Wood is not mentioned in the planning documentation highlighted a disregard for the residents.
