In August of 1984, Roy David Brooks took the life of Evelyn "Linky" Horry Leland while robbing the US Post Office in McClellanville, SC. He was convicted of murder and armed robbery and sentenced to life + 25 years in prison. Linky left behind a husband,  two young children, a large family and countless friends.  We, the undersigned, encourage the Parole Board of the South Carolina Department of Probation, Parole and Pardon to deny his request for parole on April 29, 2020, to ensure that Mr. Brooks serves the remainder of his life sentence.
