As pandemic cases continue to spike, students are worried for their safety in regards to COVID-19. While some students are vaccinated, others may not be in a position to get the vaccine, meaning that they are at higher risk of contracting Omicron — the most contagious variant yet.

While we acknowledge that some students are struggling with virtual learning, that does not make it valid for the school system to risk everyone's lives. However, we understand that not everyone is open to remote learning, so we suggest a compromise. Schools should allow students to choose between remote school and attending in-person.
