In a recent Regional meeting at the direction of the South Australian Conference, there was a shocking display of preachers and leaders trying to calm everyone down in regards to recent political events in Australia. The Coronavirus reactions from various state Premiers have been increasingly worrying and nothing short of despotism. The devastation caused by harsh lockdowns and restrictions have seen suicides, divorce, homelessness and crucial hospital waiting lists increase with many families divided and isolated. The financial and health impacts created by these communist measures have been noticed by other countries saying we have “covid madness”.  Churches have been closed and then stricter rules like vaccination ID’s have been used to segregate SDA churches closing their doors to unvaccinated members. This is a disgrace.

Many of our church nurses and teaching staff have been let go because they would not get vaccinated against their conscience. Adventist ministers have also been put on notice in some states that if they don’t get vaccinated they can no longer serve in their God given calling. The way the Adventist leadership has rolled over to government demands without a whimper during these matters is atrocious. Not to mention our pulpits have been silent in what is plainly biblical movements where government actions are lining up with Revelation 13. Identification mechanisms and segregation of Australians into social classes with punishments are harbingers of what we all know as beast-like powers coming into play.

Let not the commandment-keeping people of God be silent at this time as though we gracefully accepted the situation.--7BC 975 (1889)

We are very disappointed in all the speakers at the regional because they all with one accord sounded like the priests in Jeremiah who “healed the hurt of my people slightly, saying, ‘Peace, peace!’ This was terribly embarrassing to watch as one speaker after another took it upon themselves to calm the people and tell them not to be alarmed. One speaker seemed to make out that those who are sounding an alarm were unbalanced or extremists. This regional was a shocking display of cowardice and virtue signalling from the South Australian leadership.

If God abhors one sin above another, of which His people are guilty, it is doing nothing in case of an emergency. Indifference and neutrality in a religious crisis is regarded of God as a grievous crime and equal to the very worst type of hostility against God. - 3T 280

We therefore call upon the South Australian conference to stop marginalising members who refuse vaccination and humbly ask them to begin to warn our people of the impending danger and impact of political events in Australia. We urge the South Australian leadership to stop being protectionist hero’s and to stand like God’s men in this hour of needed action not calming people down. We call upon the South Australian Conference to urge members to make plans to live in the country so that they may delay and escape soon to be harsher elements of the despotic decisions made by an increasingly power mad government in Australia.

As the storm approaches, a large class who have professed faith in the third angel's message, but have not been sanctified through obedience to the truth, abandon their position, and join the ranks of the opposition. By uniting with the world and partaking of its spirit, they have come to view matters in nearly the same light, and when the test is brought, they are prepared to choose the easy, popular side - GC 608.
