Ron Mackenzie started this petition to South African Government

Under the current lockdown regulations, leisure travel is banned, within South Africa, Millions of South Africans are impacted by this as tourism is a major employer, in our country. Not only are people’s livelihoods at stake but much of our safari industry serves an important role, in conserving our precious & wonderful wildlife. Our lodges are taking great care to look after travelers safety and precautions are in place, to receive guests.
Under the current laws people are allowed to get into shared public transport and sit next to strangers or visit a casino, but are not permitted to stay in a lodge that has been sterilized / decontaminated (even if you’re using the facilities exclusively, with no other guests present). We need the government to allow lodges and hotels, that follow prescribed guidelines, to go back to work
