Naspers-owned crypto-currency exchange Luno Global has been locking most of its customers of their accounts, leaving them without access to their funds in this difficult  time of global pandemic and record high unemployment. 

Millions of honest hard earned South African Rands have been kept by Luno from its customers without notice or explanation. These practices have been carried out by Luno for years now. Despite countless lawsuits and social media dissatisfaction and outrage, Naspers-owned crypto-currency exchange Luno has continued its unlawful practices breaking the law and disregarding its customers need. 

I, for example, have more than R80,000.00 blocked by Luno in my account. I emailed their only customer contact <lunotechnicalteam@yahoo.com> and got a response only after days. They forced me to buy at a loss and send to their rectification address 0.035 BTC, then they asked for another 0.055, followed by another 0.15 BTC with the promise every time that the deposit is the last and they after I send the BTC to them they will fix the problem. All I just needed, they wrote to me, was for me to do send them those BTC. Days have passed I haven’t heard from them. 

So by signing this petition, you are pleading to the South African government, the Department of Trade and Industry as well as The National Consumer Commission to investigate Naspers-owned crypto-currency exchange Luno and shutdown all their business activities in South Africa.
