To,

Sourav Ganguly (President, BCCI)

Most cricketer retires by the age of 40 on an average. It gets really tough for an individual to keep up the physical/mental fitness level required to play at international or IPL level beyond this point.

Pravin Tambe is an inspiration. His attitude of "not giving up" and hardwork has earned an IPL contract for Kolkata Knight Riders at the age of 48

BCCI should allow uncapped Indian player who is above 40 to play in the IPL irrespective of his presence in any of the foreign league. It requires a lot to keep oneself fit after this age and hence, the hardwork and dedication should be respected.

This rule won't cause any harm to current situation where BCCI doesn't want Indian players to participate in the foreign leagues as most of the players retire by the age of 40 and only an extremely dedicated hardworking player(who never played for Indi) will be able to take advantage of this rule.

Pravin Tambe should play in the IPL. He has an inspiring story to tell to all of us.

Regards

A cricket fan.
