Soundcloud was an amazing platform to spread awareness of your musical talent. You could post up to three hours of audio, and showcase who you were as a musician. It provided a platform for people to show their audio files without hassle, and to store their music where they may easily bring it up for any occasion. Soundcloud decided, as any big company would, to make a pro service if you must upload more than 3 hours. This seemingly simple addition to Soundcloud didn't affect most people on the platform, and things remained normal.

Until now.

As it turns out, Soundcloud has more plans for their pro service, and they want as many people to join as humanly possible. So now, on December 9th, their policy will soon change from 3 hours to 3 hours or 15 tracks. While this doesn't seem that bad, here's what that means.

For people who wish to store their music, you'll need to find somewhere else. You will only be able to upload 15 tracks worth before you must pay. For people who are trying to be heard, you're also messed up. Also, let's say you have a favorite musician on Soundcloud you love to listen to, they will be affected by this.

Soundcloud is essentially forcing people to pay for their pro services.

We need Soundcloud to rethink their decision, for all of us who are affected by this change. I, personally, upload all of my music to Soundcloud and paying for a subscription is not something I'm currently capable of. If you believe that forcing people to pay for something that once was free is ludicrous, then please sign this petition, and SPREAD THE WORD! Your help is important in changing the future!
