SOS!  It’s time to defend Jockey's Ridge again from Development! 

There is a move afoot to lease a part of Jockey’s Ridge State Park to build a 12,000 square foot private museum.  We're gathering signatures in protest to this development and any others that might threaten Jockey's Ridge in years to come.  

Join us (people that love Jockey's Ridge as it is) in asking the State of NC Department of Natural & Cultural Resources and the Town of Nags Head to decline ANY development requests.  We are asking that the State to decline development now and into the future, at Jockey's Ridge State Park, Nags Head, NC, other than the improvement and maintenance of the existing State Park facilities.

Jockey's Ridge was preserved in 1975 as a natural landmark for 'The People' and our opposition against commercialization on Jockey's Ridge is be certain that our dunes are preserved the way that was intended, all those years ago!  We are echoing that same SOS (Save our Sanddunes) now!  'No to development on Jockey's Ridge!'
