Leal and Luz Van Beverhoudt have requested a zoning variance from R-1 to R-3 for their property located at the top of Sorgenfri. This variance will allow them to accommodate 20 housing units. R-3 Zoning makes it possible for up to 80 people to be contained within a one acre parcel.  In addition, R-3 zoning gives builders the ability to construct up to six (6) stories high.

By signing this petition, concerned Sorgenfri neighbors are making it known that we do not want the density of our neighborhood to increase. Right now all property in Sorgenfri is zoned R-1 or R-2, allowing for a maximum of two dwelling units.

R-3 zoning will drastically change the character of our neighborhood.
