Girls in our school get dress coded multiple times a day. Because their belly button is showing, or their shoulders. This teaches young girls to hide their body’s because it’s “distracting for the boys.” If boys are distracted by our limbs, they need to be taught better, it isn’t our responsibility. It has come to the point of blatant sexualization as often the argument is it will turn boys on. What we wear has become more important than our education, as the staff will pull students out of class to have them change.

Many girls at our school, are attempting to have the dress code edited or abolished entirely. The clothing we wear should be judged by our self’s or by our parents, not people sitting in an office, writing rules about our bodies.

Help us make a change, so that we have the right to wear what we please, and not clothing to keep the boys focused.
