CWI files emergency complaint on behalf of Anna Louise with the USDA!

CompassionWorks International

May 25, 2017 — Moments ago, CWI filed an emergency complaint with the USDA on behalf of long-suffering Anna Louise.

An elephant expert has analyzed video obtained by CWI and has determined that Anna Louise is exhibiting clear gait issues, likely stemming from problems with her hips that distorts her ability to walk properly.

These issues pose an immediate danger to both Anna Louise and any individuals who may ride her or be in her vicinity!

We have demanded that the USDA relieve her from circus performances and rides in order to have her health assessed by a qualified, independent veterinarian.

While Ringling may be closed, the plight of Anna Louise highlights the need to continue to take action against circus cruelty. Every week CWI tracks numerous circus performances around the country in order to monitor the animals and to raise public awareness about the abuse animals confined to the circus suffer.
