Dan Richards, president of California's fish and wildlife commission, traveled to Idaho to hunt, and successfully shot and killed a mountain lion, (a protected species in California). Mr. Richards then posed proudly for an internet magazine cover, stating, "I'm glad its legal"! Since then Mr. Richards has sat gloating amidst the firestorm of controversy. Throughout his career at the CFWC, Mr. Richards has opposed the creating marine life-protected areas along California coastlines, outlawing lead based ammunition that poses a serious threat to, bald eagles, golden eagles and confide, and has often fought against adding animals to endangered species lists. Mr. Richards has repeatedly thumbed his nose at the ideals he was appointed to uphold. Please urge the CFWC to fire Dan Richards.
