I hope this message finds you well and healthy. As a student of MRU it has come to my attention that the final exams for this current semester will be held in campus. This was just advised through a couple of our professors this week. With respect,  I in addition to hundreds of students would like to ask you reconsider such decision.

The truth of the matter is, when MRU decided to close its installations and go virtual it did so without hesitation thinking of the well being of those around in addition to movement mandated quarantine rules. As this past year has past and an incredible amount of deaths and illness have come upon our nation and even city it was decided to continue online. However, in neither situation was  the opinion of your students asked or given the option go back into campus. Other universities in our city such as ( FIU, MDC, TRINITY, ) to name a few gave their students the option of remaining online of going into campus. Our case was not such. Now without questions we have been asked to present ourselves to final in campus.

As I understand this is what we should be doing in the future I kindly ask you allow us to continue and finish this semester and tests online. This will allow all those whom can to get vaccinated as our current president Biden has advised all vacinations will be available by May and that he has advised all schools will be open by then. In addition, it will give the opportunity to all of us whom have been waiting and quarantine the time to vaccinate ourselves or family members without being exposed first.

Given we have already started this way and have not complained we ask you do the same in allowing us to finish this semester online. As student under 60 DO not have the option to get vaccinated now as the teachers do. Therefore, we ask you have the same consideration towards us as you have had it with your staff all these months. Otherwise, it seems the professors whom Do have access to the vaccines now are of more importance than us the students.

Thank you for your time and below please find the link to all the signed petitions from students.
