Support Citizens Advice Solihull Bureau
Why this petition matters

In December 2018 Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council announced that after a re-tendering process Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB) had lost the contract to provide advice to residents in Solihull from April 2019.
CAB have been helping Solihull residents for over 50 years on matters such as housing, debt, and benefits. The loss of this contract, worth over £200,000, means that the CAB will no longer be able to provide a service to residents in the South of the Borough and the provision in the North of the Borough will be very limited.
Solihull and Meriden Liberal Democrats are asking Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council to explore providing CAB with bridging funding or other practical help to ensure they are able to continue to deliver services to local residents until a long-term solution is found.
