Social Security Administration denies claim for 20yr.old recently paralyzed girl..OUTRAGEOUS!
SSI denied a disability claim for 20 yr. old, Jazzmin Brown, my niece that has become paralyzed from the shoulders down. Although we are praying that the injury is not permanent, she is currently disabled. Unbelievably, after applying for SSI in Indiana, Jazzmin was denied the SSI benefits due to the fact that she has not worked. SSI is geared toward people who have little to zero income, and Jazzmin's case is the epitome of a case that deserves these benefits. She will need 24 hour a day care and has a family willing and wanting to care for her, but not the funds that are required to care for her. A home will need purchased and renovated, a wheelchair accessible vehicle will need to be acquired, traveling to and from medical appointments, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and just the daily medical necessities are all incredibly expensive. Our family needs help, not red tape. Please help us get Jazzmin awarded the SSI benefits that she qualifies for and desperately needs.
