The lake is being closed due to litter and drug use. Regularly fished by unlicensed anglers and no attempt to get a bailiff out to check licences. The lake is used by local people who cannot afford the very expensive memberships for all of the lakes around us. It has been fished for decades. Now they plan to get rid of it. Giving the drug users somewhere to be left in peace? Litter picks are arranged and the licensed and considerate users of the lake are going to possibly lose all chances to fish due to the negligence of enforcement. The behavior that is now going to cause many families in the area to lose the only place they can enjoy time together for free is experienced everywhere in this village and it appears they are taking more and more from the community to allow this to continue. Get bailiffs out checking licences and police out as and when needed. That small action will make the place far more nice to be at as well as keeping it open for families like mine who cannot afford to do very much and find some quality time at peace fishing together.
