The academic year has been disrupted due to the unprecedented nationwide lockdown to contain the Corona pandemic. With a delayed academic calendar and the possibility of online examination without course-work being complete, there is a great deal of fear among the students.

The Internal online exams are likely to be discriminatory to the underprivileged students as they have highly uneven access to infrastructure and connectivity. Everyone can’t afford a laptop and wi-fi connection. We have lectures from 9:00 A.M to 1:00 P.M and only after that the students are able to read and do the other work. Many students have covid -19 patients at their home and they have to take care of them also. Also they don’t have proper books to read. Online study material has been provided by the teachers but everyone is not used to reading online. Also the minimum cost of printing one page is Rs. 5/- and the online material provided by the teachers contains more than 200 pages. Every student is not financially strong to afford the same. We are having back to back assignments and Internal test. We even don’t get time to prepare for the test. One can’t sit online for 24 Hours to read as it could affect the eyes, ears and health. We all are in a state of mental stress because of the same.

 In light of this, the SNDT MA Part-II, Semester-III students has the following demands:

Please give us one more project or assignment or give us Questions (like we get in 1st and 2nd semester Internal Exam) to write the answers and we will upload the same in place of internal online exams. Even the SNDT University Law department and Sociology department have given the assignment to students in place of Internal Tests.
