Recently Snapchat has received an update that completely destroys any sense of privacy that you may have thought while using the app. Snapchat will now show you the time and location of where you were born without putting in any information. The invasion of privacy comes in the fact that users of snapchat never entered in this sensitive information.

All you need to do to see your time of birth and where you were born is to go into your snapchat settings, select the birthday tab, and look for “My Astrological Birthday”

Thankfully you can delete the information in “My Astrological Birthday” but the concern is that people were never notified of this change.

The goal of this petition is to convince Snapchat to:

• Not include this sensitive information without permission from the user by having a prompt appear inquiring if users would like to include there information 
• Users who agree to have sensitive information shown must input it manually instead of automatically
• Stop Snapchat from possibly intruding on users sensitive information in the future by updating the terms of service and privacy policies to prevent anything like this in the future from happening
