High schools girls are being treated unfair, for almost every sport in high school you are given shorts to wear. However for girls lacrosse we are forced to wear skirts.

   It is uncomfortable while running and makes the girls feel vulnerable while playing. Lacrosse is a physical sport and people are pushed or fall to the ground. Almost always the skirt falls down and it is a very uncomfortable situation to be in while playing sports. In addition, most girls don’t enjoy wearing skirts in general because girls are overly sexualized and stereotyped.

  Additionally, the skirts can cause major dysphoria for nonbinary/masculine presenting people, sometimes making them not even want to play anymore. It is unfair and girls should be allowed to wear shorts. Please sign this petition to let girls lacrosse get rid of skirts and move forward in society and let girls wear shorts.
