Appeal for Lenient checking of CBSE 2017 Accountancy paper
This is for the CBSE Accountancy exam of Class 12 held on 29th March 2017. The paper was too lengthy and tricky. The question paper was not structured according to the weightages given for the chapters in the CBSE suggested books.
All the teachers agree to the fact that the level of difficulty was for sure much higher than it usually is, as compared to the previous years. It was definitely not a student's dream paper.
Many students who appeared for exam stated that though we knew the answers to the questions but we were not able to complete the paper because of the long solutions and calculations.
Not being able to complete the exam even when you know all the answers is the saddest part of it.
Part - A was tricky with alot of adjustments with premium. There was no single question from comparative and common size statements which were expected and are scoring .
It was really disappointing and demotivating as we will have to sacrifice on our aggregate percentage even after so much of hard work. It is the most depressing thing when you have worked so hard and just because of unfairly lengthy paper you are left with no hope of scoring good, especially the weak students who have burnt the midnight oil just to score good.
As a student we need a good percentage to opt for different course and their is alot of competition out there. The 12th board percentage plays an important role in laying a fundation for our career.
Not everyone is preparing for competitive exams and the paper's difficulty level was very much similar to that.
I request the authorities to consider our concerns and do the marking leniently.
It will be great if we will get marks for attempting the questions and for giving the questions a correct start or else many students will fail the exams this year.
