It is inevitable to say that Indian TV has become a huge platform today. Not only in India but these shows are becoming equally popular in global platforms as well. Unfortunately the rating (success) of the shows get counted only on the basis of Indian viewership on TV.Many such shows are on the verge of being axed despite being popular amongst audience. Also to encourage PM Modi's Digital India, makers of Indian shows are keen to release their creations online as well as it is easier to catch up such shows anytime online than on TV these days. Hence the online viewership also has become more popular than TV today. But again the online views does not add any tiny bit to the success of the shows in India. It will be very progressive decision if the TRP counts for Indian TV shows will consider international viewers as well as online viewers along with Indian viewers.
We urge you to also consider the viewership contributions from repeat telecasts in TRP calculation.
This is a humble request to the authority to consider this decision.
