Smithton needs a fenced in Dog Park!

0 have signed. Let’s get to 500!

We, the local community of Smithton, propose an off-leash, fenced in dog park located off of Gibson Street (the current off-leash area). We feel that by having a central, fenced in location for dogs and dog owners, we will increase the value and quality of life for the community and the usability of the current off-leash area, therefore meeting the needs of dogs and dog owners. Having a dog park will increase exercise and socialisation for dogs and their owners in a safe and accessible location.

To reach our goal, we will need:
• New secure fencing and gates
• Top soil
• A water source that is suitable for drinking

We hope to present this petition to the Tasmania Community Fund on September 12th along with letters of support from the community & an application for a grant to begin the project.
