Nicole Hingle started this petition to Slidell city court house , Judge Jim Lamz , Office of Juvenille Justice

Resisting arrest , is not a real crime.! Resisting arrest is an emotional reaction. To take a child away from his mother and family to sentence him to 3 years in a secure facility is a crime !! Our juvenilles need rehabilitation ! All of the  secure juvenille facilities in Louisiana ran by ojj are pure hell for these kids ! How do we expect then to learn and be successful when they are constantly best up or jumped , but not only other kids being detained but staff as well ! My son did not impose a serious threat to anyone ! He didn't commit an act of violence ! He was punched and tazed while  in handcuffs !! The medications the state docs have him on were never addressed ! He was told he had to plead guilty and Judge Lamz handed down a very severe punishment ! Him.sitting in jail for 3 years serves no justice to anyone ! He was denied his opportunity to youth challenge program by judge lamz after being allowed to leave Florida parish juvenille detention center for the interview , and was accepted by the program ! ! He would already have his GED !!!! We are demanding his release from OJJ ! And would ask that he be given the opportunity to turn his life around !! We know it can be better served by house arrest or probation !!! This is injustice at its best !!  There was no disciplinary action against the police office for buttality! We Demand that justice be served to our family and Jace Hingle released on his 6 month review October 6 ! Which will mark 10 months in custody !!
