Stop Mass Shootings! Stop Selling Bump Stocks!

On October 1, 2017 in Las Vegas, one gunman started shooting from the 32nd floor of a hotel room at people who were at an outdoor country music concert. He shot over 600 people, killing 58 and injuring 546 others. He had 23 firearms in his room, all of them bought legally. But what made it easier for him to kill and injure so many people is something called a bump stock. This is a devise that the shooter attached to 12 guns and allowed them to fire 90 bullets in 10 seconds. So with bump stocks he could fire his rifles like machine guns. It is actually illegal to have a machine gun, but bump stocks are okay, according to the law. Right after this terrible shooting the main manufacturer of bump stocks, a company called Slide Fire, stopped selling them. People have been calling for a new law to ban these things. But Congress has said that the AFT (Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms) has to deal with this, while the AFT has said that Congress has to take care of it. A bill to ban bump stocks has been introduced in the Senate, but right now it doesn't look like it's going anywhere. Hopefully it will pass, but even if it does, that could take a long time. Meanwhile, Slide Fire has started selling bump stocks again! This is insane! How many more people are going to die because of these things? Please sign the petition to demand that Slide Fire stop selling bump stocks now!
