Sky to buy the rights for Wentworth Prison in the UK!

0 have signed. Let’s get to 100!

Wentworth Prison is an Australian women's prison drama series which follows the journey of Bea Smith's life in prison. Since starting in 2013, the show has accumulated dozen of awards including two of the show actresses winning best actress at the LOGIE awards, as well as the show itself winning best drama year-after-year, allowing it to gain the reputation of Australia's best ever drama.

In the U.K, the show is aired on Channel 5, however, the channel has simply not put enough effort into it. Each year there is hardly any advertisement, and last year after the first two episodes of season four aired, they shifted it to one of their back-end channels '5Star'. Meaning viewers couldn't enjoy the show in full high-definition.

Many of the fans agree that Channel 5 have just let the programme down, and rumours suggest Sky already have deals with Foxtel Australia who are the makers of the Australian drama series. We would like Sky to consider bringing the show onto one of their channels so it can receive the justice it deserves. Being able to watch in full high-definition on a channel which many people follow and watch, with the possibility of past seasons being made available on box sets would create a whole fan base, leading to many more people experiencing and enjoying the edge-on-your-seat-episode-after-episode drama.

We urge you Sky to consider getting the rights to Wentworth Prison!!
