Apr 10, 2015 — Hello, everyone! It has been about 60 hours since we released this petition. A lot of things have happened since then. This has become something much bigger than one man and one school, but rather an issue that the Omaha Archdiocese and the state of Nebraska will have to face.
The Omaha Archdiocese has done nothing to address this topic or our petitio. Let's not give them a choice anymore and spread this national article posted by ABC News: http://abcn.ws/1DpQGdj
Also, If you are from Nebraska then I urge you to support a bill that is currently before the Nebraska Legislature (LB 586) that would add sexual orientation and gender identity to the list of protected classes in state employment law. It won't be easy to get this law passed, and State Senators need to hear from people who care about equality, people like you, today: http://bit.ly/1Agaw9f
We appreciate your petition signature to support Matt; now take the next step and let your State Senator know that employment discrimination against all LGBT Nebraskans is unacceptable; we all deserve a chance at "The Good Life."
Finally, anything you post about this, please use #LetMatthewTeach to reach others in our community.
Once again, thank you so much, let's change Nebraska & the world.
