Vicki Wolfinger started this petition to Skokie District 73.5 School Board

District 73.5 is an incredibly diverse and welcoming community filled with hard working and busy parents and community members.  Our recent school board election concerns included equity and transparency within our district.  There was overwhelming support for both and the community spoke by electing new board members to represent us.  A recent request to videotape our school board meetings and making them available to the community is being resisted by a false narrative that the community and teachers are opposed to it.  In addition, we are being informed that such video taping would cost the district $55,000 per year when it can be done at NO cost.  There is overwhelming support by our district teachers to have meetings recorded and made available as was stated in a McMea letter directed to the board and presented at the meeting.  We are looking for 100 (or more) signatures from community members and parents to present to the board in support of having future board meetings videotaped and made available to the public.  Our community deserves transparency and accountability from our school board.  Please sign if you support this cause and thank you in advance.
