Thank you all so much for your support of our petition. This was started to bring attention to an issue we wanted to see addressed in a kind, peaceful, and loving way, with the simple intention of being heard and seen. This was never meant to be a place for unkind comments, aggression, or negativity. It was simply an opportunity to respectfully voice our concerns and ask to be heard. As Christians, we must remember to treat others with kindness, grace, and forgiveness. We do not want to stand alongside or encourage negative or hurtful comments toward anyone. We can have different beliefs and opinions on topics such as skirts, and that is okay. Having different opinions does not mean we should allow those differences to affect how we treat one another. We have been in communication with the school and are working together to explore alternative ways to reinstate some of the femininity we feel is important. Thank you again to everyone who supported us and helped us approach this in a respectful and peaceful way.
