I love peanut butter. But, I was horrified to learn that one of the brands that I’ve had, Skippy, uses palm oil. Palm oil isn’t bad for humans, rather it’s horrible for orangutans. It takes away much of their habitat, forcing them to live in smaller and smaller areas. Skippy is one of the peanut butter brands that uses palm oil. They are taking lots of the orangutans’ habitat away from them. 

You don’t need palm oil to make peanut butter. You can still make it without the palm oil, and it can taste just as good. I am making this petition to help the endangered orangutan. I want Skippy to stop using palm oil, to help save the orangutan. It’s up to people like you and I to help save the orangutan.

I didn’t know just how incredible orangutans were until about 4 months ago. My brother did lots of research on them, so I got to learn about them. When I watched a documentary about orangutans, with Michelle Yeoh narrating it, I knew that I had to make this petition. Orangutans are so human-like, that sometimes during the documentary, I forgot they weren’t even human.

It’s up to us to save the orangutans. I’m not saying Skippy’s evil. They just need to stop using palm oil. By signing this petition, you are helping to raise awareness about this threat to orangutans and the place they call home.
