Over 24 million people living with disabilities in Nigeria 99% of them are uneducated and without any skills because year after year both Federal, state and local governments in Nigeria make their budget for the year without People living with disabilities included in it, because they refused to believe or recognize our existence as human but made budget to arrest and persecute us for begging on the street, it's a failure of not just the system but failure of society at large, that People living with disabilities are all over the street as beggars, there's ability in disability but only if given equal opportunities, people with disabilities are people with special needs hence policy makers have to recognized that and make provision to meet our needs, government can arrest and jailed us but without skill after release from their jails we would still go back to that same place we were arrested to continue begging, therefore the best and only long lasting solution is to empower us with skills and vocational training plus a startup grant after the training, please add your voice by signing this petition in support of empowering us with skills so that we can also make our contribution to national development and not be a problem to society, help us tell the federal, state and local authorities to create enough skills and vocational training centers across Nigeria, people living with disabilities are left with no choice, enough is enough we've been oppressed and silenced for far too long!!! We demand rehabilitation and reintegration not persecution by the same system that neglect us!!!!
