I've been a lifelong resident of Marrero, Louisiana  and for the 30 years I've been a skateboarder we've never had an actual place to skate. Usually you find skaters in a private or public parking lot which people usually frown upon, the reason for this is because we never had a place of our own to do it.  All recreational parks around usually always have signs up prohibiting skateboarding, scooters, and bikes.  Let's give the older teens a place of there own to be free to do what they love and stop getting into trouble for doing that same thing.
