We, as the students of Mira Loma High School, are petitioning to move classes to, or give an option to, distance learning for a remaining period of the 2021-2022 school year in the San Juan Unified District. The reason for this is the extreme increase in the number of cases for the coronavirus and an overall student and staff desire to move back to distance learning. For sake of the current situation and overall student and staff preferences and in many cases needs, we feel it is in our best interest to petition to give an option for distance learning, or completely depending on the conditions within the San Juan Unified School District. We hope this request will be met with consideration, even if rejected, for the general consensus is that this is a valid request.
