Even with the Delta variant sweeping through our community at alarming rate, the district has said that employees will be forced to use their personal or sick leave if required to quarantine.

This is not acceptable. Employees are showing up for students every day. They are doing the work to educate every day. However, just being in the classroom, on the bus, or in the cafeteria puts them and our students at risk. Many people are already being required to use their own leave for quarantines after just the first week of school. They should not be required to use up personal leave!

Tell the Board and the district to support our staff members: provide ten days of quarantine leave for Socorro ISD employees like last year!
