This is a short sighted cut (and certainly not a 'saving') which bodes ill for stewardship of all our health services under what we know must term 'Devo Manc', which itself is looking more and more like a political vanity project than a serious attempt to improve anything for local people. Please prove me wrong and review this cut.
i work with client who use this service and it provide essential support for these ladies and their wider family. good, personalised support will, in the long run save money through less GP and AED visits for predominantly social problems. Children will develop and go on to bigger and better things providing wealth for the country. i think stopping this service is a short term, short sighted, fire fighting decision which will cause a multitude of problems in the future. prevention is always better then cure.
I believe that FNP are doing an invaluable job and are seeing real change in young families. This initial cost cutting is not thinking of long term benefits
