Nini Msl started this petition to Singapore Airlines and

Singapore Airlines (SIA) refuse to give a full refund for flights to South Korea and other affected countries. Apparently, visitors from there are banned from entering Singapore.

SERVICE: SIA independently decides the next travel date without the consideration of their "valued" customers. Travellers who booked flights on or before 25 Feb 2020 are only given an option to postpone their flights to any time before 31 August 2020. Why should we base our travelling plans on SIA's given deadline? Customers are paying for SIA's service not to be treated like this. For a refund option, taxes of only $85 are available. This is only estimated 10% of the total price. Why can't SIA give exceptions for customers who have been willing to pay and support Singapore Airlines? It is inhumane that for a short-term profit, SIA is putting travellers lives at stake.

HEALTH: Flights from Singapore to mentioned areas are not given deep concern. The worrying suggestion that SIA provides is to postpone our flights to a later date before 31 Aug 2020 as mentioned above. SIA’s guidelines should depend and comply with World Health Organization’s statement of clearance of the epidemic. The fear spurred made planning for a holiday the last thing on our minds. SIA’s sense of humanity is questionable here. Further, SIA disregards the travel of passengers with chronic illnesses and elderly to COVID- 19 infected areas, ignoring the official health guidelines.

Our focus should be on health, safety, and working together to keep more people safe, particularly Singaporeans travelling to countries that have been banned from entering Singapore. Prevention is better than cure!
