I often had to book bikes on the train and the whole process is complex, time consuming and frustrating. Especially in a world where we should be championing ‘green’ travel by bike and train.

• Disjointed booking systems. I.e when booking on line you then have to ring up separately the train operator to book a bike space on the train.
• Bike spaces and infrastructure on trains is very limited. 2 per train is not enough!!
• Dont know when booking the train whether there are any bike spaces available without ringing.
• Cannot book bikes on the Eurostar

Make it mandatory and legally enforceable for train lines to adequately provide for having bikes on a train with a stream lined online booking system not is separate from the ticket booking system.
