Lou Byrne started this petition to Simon Coveney and

Many were sickened to witness the death, hatred, and disrespect Trump incited in Washington yesterday. Many have been sickened and angry by his actions throughout his presidency.

As a nation, Ireland can take a moral stand against Trump.

Let's display our support for decent Americans of all ethnicities, races, and genders.

I urge the Irish Government to send a strong message to him.

Denounce unequivocally his appalling actions of yesterday.

Send a clear message that his actions must have consequences. One of those is that - as a nation - we prefer that he does not return to Ireland in the future.

We do not welcome his self-serving standards and hateful opinions and lies.

He has a golf resort in Ireland - sell it to the Irish Government or private entity (any takers?) as a going concern.

Confirm that Irish taxpayers will not pay for security costs (or any other costs) involved in any future visits to his Irish resort.

Please sign this petition to let the world know that Ireland will not support or welcome a bigot like this to our country.

Agus Slán.
