Many fans were not able to get tickets from Ticketfly for Sigur Ros' LA Hollywood Forever show in August. Sold out tickets were soon being sold on StubHub for $190+ by scalpers, and many fans remain disappointed and frustrated.

I thought fans can put their voices together and request a second show in LA with a better ticketing system. Ticketfly did not even have security measures such as CAPTCHA in their system, which made it more vulnerable to scalpers (Ticketmaster at least has a reCAPTCHA to protect it from automated programs used by scalpers).

Even better, it would be great if the Sigur Ros staff can come up with a system to distribute tickets only among fans. A lot of fans who were looking forward to this event are hugely disappointed.

We shouldn't be paying excessive money to see a band we love, especially if that money is not going to the artist. And since the North American tour dates are so limited, the demand for Sigur Ros is very high.

I'm assuming the Hollywood Forever venue to be relatively small, so my goal is to get about 300 signatures (in hopes that the band will consider adding a second show if the fans show enough interest and demand).

Although the initiation of this petition stemmed from frustration and disappointment (Yes, you TicketFly and StubHub), I am, by no means, trying to disrespect the band and their music. The purpose of this petition is to let the band know that there are many fans who weren't able to obtain tickets due to horrible ticketing system and many scalpers on loose.

After reaching our initial goal (which might be adjusted to accomodate more signatures), all the signatures and messages will be delivered to the band. This is to show that there is enough demand for another show in LA, which the band and the staff can take into consideration when making the decision to add another show or not. 

Afterall, we are doing this because we love Sigur Ros' music.
