Sign the Pledge to Support Social Equality and Human Rights
0 have signed. Let’s get to 100!
Our values of inclusion and diversity are being tested, and it’s time for all of us to show that we will stand together. By signing this pledge for Social Equality and Human Rights, you agree to support and uphold the 5 Principles, listed below. Social Equality itself is intangible, but signing this pledge is a concrete way to show your commitment.
I will ride across the country from Los Angeles to Washinton D.C. encouraging people to sign the pledge and commit themselves to respecting all people as equals.
1. All people are created equal and deserve equal respect
2. We reject racism and hate speech
3. Everyone deserves an equal chance at life, love, and employment
4. All people deserve the right to be heard, especially the marginalized and disenfranchised
5. We stand up for others because injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere
We cannot allow these principles to be thrown aside, because they are what make this country great. I have a goal to obtain at least 1 million pledges.
I will travel through the Southwest, The South, Appalachia, and The Rust Belt on my way to D.C. I’ll interact with and listen to people in other states. I’ll speak with church groups, at schools, and at other local organizations. I hope to listen to the people I meet and document my experiences, allowing their voices to be heard. I hope to understand what is really going on, but most of all: prove that there are more good people than bad.
