I recently had my school photo day. We had a new company taking the photos LifeTouch Shutterfly. The photographer made girls pose in the same way with their hands on their thigh and pose in a gender stereotyping way. It felt silly and stupid. I wanted to pose in a way that was comfortable and made me feel not like I was trying to be a princess or a perfect model. I would have preferred to pose with my arms by my side like the boys. Lot of other girls in my school were unhappy and have preferred to stand in a way that was comfortable to them.

I looked at the photo order form and could see from the example photos that this pose we had to do is how LifeTouch Shutterfly gets all girls to pose for school photo day.

This is wrong and I decided to start a petition to try and change it.

If Shutterfly changes their pose policy, girls can be strong, brave, and comfortable in their school photos.
