Pata zoo is located on the two top floors of an old shopping centre in the middle of busy Bangkok.

Over 200 species of forgotten wild animals are barely existing in concrete cages.

Their natural needs are not being met. Animals pace back and forth all day in dirty enclosures. Bua Noi, a lone gorilla sits alone and bored, and Humbolt the penguin is the only surviving member of a group of 12 penguins.

An Orangutan mother and her new born baby sit on a concrete floor with no enrichment, bored and alone.

Every animal at Pata zoo deserves more than what they are being given.

The time has come to recognize the rights of all sentient beings, and stop taking what does not belong to us.

We must strike at the roots of cruelty.
