I visited Greenview Aviaries Zoo in Ridgetown Ontario and I was very excited to take my 1 year old to the zoo for the first time but I left the zoo feeling nothing but sad. It broke my heart to see the conditions the animals were living in. Birds plucking out their feathers in cages so small they couldn’t expands their wings fully, animals barely able to turn around, some animals completely alone and visibly depressed just pacing around their cages which is considered a sign of stress. Feces lingering in the cages, rotten leftover food, black water and not 1 employee in sight. The list of things that disgusted me at this zoo goes on and on. I had asked where the animals are kept in the winter and most are kept outside, even the ones who are naturally suppose to be in a warmer climate. Things like this are happening all around us but even helping a handful of animals live a better life that they deserve can make a big change! Please sign this petition and help me shut down Greenview Aviaries Zoo and get these animals into better living conditions!
