This Briar lane stairway has been a pathway for thieves to use a getaway route. This is not a recent problem but one that has been existent for years. As the members and community of Durban north we would like the Briar lane stairway closed permanently.

The safety of our families, belongings, houses and friends is at risk. The main source to these violations being successful is the Briar lane stairs. Houses have been broken into, items have been taken from properties and we as a community do not feel safe at all. With that said we strongly move to permanently close the stairway to alleviate the current problem of theft we have.
