As you know, last year we were able to bring and use backpacks in class. This worked very well and helped keep the hallways less crowded and safer. But this year they have taken this away with a singular somewhat unrelated reason. I think it is unfair that the whole school must be punnished because of the unwise actions of a single person. I know that having backpacks wouldnt decrease the safety of the school, but it would make the hallways less crowded reducing the chances of collision and exposure for covid. 

From the group of about 30 people(mostly students and a couple teachers) I have talked to, all of them are in favor of bring back backpacks. It seems like most people if not all would be supportive of this change.
