Despite being a small thing to look forward to, I, and many other students, have looked forward to being able to come up with a funny and or meaningful senior quote next to our names as part of senior year. I couldn’t even count the amount of times since freshman year that “ooh that’s a senior quote” or “I came up with a senior quote idea” has come up in regular conversations. This is why upon hearing the news that they would not be included, many of my peers in the seniors class were upset.

Senior quotes are a simple and short way for students to leave there last marks on high school in this exciting year that we have a head of us. Being able to put in a small (couple sentences max) quote to represent our selves for as long as anyone owns this year year book shows a way for us to remember each other and all the good memories we made at Springfield high school. This is not a monumental thing to ask for. Senior quotes have been tradition up until last year. This is not a new concept to our school. Also I’m asking this we are not asking the previously held rules disappear l. It is very reasonable that these responses will be held to the same rules and appropriateness as seen before. This is why the class of 2022 wants our senior quotes back.
